There is a refreshing and innovative team behind

DJ LIZA // lives in New York, New
York
Liza’s
musical endeavors began in 1983. In the eighties
breakdancing had become a huge Lower East Side
where they would hold breakdancing competitions.
The deejays would battle alongside the dancers
for hours on end seeing who could outperform each
other with their mixing or “scratching”.
This led to a lifelong pursuit of the perfect “mix” and
audience with the appreciation of music found,
and founded, on those streets in Alphabet City.
While attaining her Bachelor of Science at the
University of Tampa, she was again overwhelmed
by her need for music and an audience. There she
introduced the art of mixing and New York style
house music infusing it with some of the more traditional
top 40’s music. She gained instant recognition
and was soon playing clubs all over the bay area.
It was an educational experience for both her and
the audience. Liza decided to move back to home
to New York to develop roots and founded her own
private investigations firm where she is still
president. Recently, she decided to return to her
true love, music. She is presently resident deejay
for Shescape one of the most recognized and longest
running women’s parties in New York. She
is a regular on Thursday nights at Spa, Ohm, Twirl,
Henrietta Hudson’s, Aria, Metronome, Delft
Lounge, Eugene's, Stonewall, and Chueca, and in
Rio De Janeiro, at Le Girl, San Francisco Gay
pride
Main Stage, and Splash pool party. She has spun
with Junior Vasquez, Jackie Christie, Susan Morabito,
Merritt, Mike da Wizard, and Steve Chip Chop Gonzalez.
She has spun the music for the Bacardi float Gaypride
for two consecutive years. And is currently the
resident DJ for H&M Stores in Manhattan. Liza
has produced artists such as, Thea Austin, “Broken
Wings” Charted at #8 on the Billboard Charts,
and Joi Cardwells’ “ Freedom” which
was just charted #7. She wrote the tracks and released
both albums on the Liza Label “Rain song”,

EDDIE
BAEZ // lives
in New York City,
DJ
Eddie Baez's name is widely known throughout the
dance music community. His impact upon dance floors
worldwide is undisputed by industry peoples and
dance music fans alike. Because of his genuine
soul, vigorous persistence, and deep passion for
music, Eddie Baez has blossomed into "superstar" status
within the industry. Eddie has had much success
with his innovative, tribal-inflected remixes of
songs, representing some of the industry's most
successful artists. Jessica Simpson, Destiny's
Child, Kristine W, Whitney Houston, Mis-teeq, Toni
Braxton, and Cher, are just a sampling of the artists
that have requested remixes by this talented producer.
Eddies recent version of Crazy, by Warner Brothers
artist, Seal, hit the top of the Billboard Dance
charts in its first weeks out, and continues to
chart today. Eddie also has worked with edgy rock
groups such as The Raveonettes on Sony Records,
remixing their hit single Love in a Trashcan, continuing
to prove his ability to work with a great variety
of music, and turn out hits. However, throughout
his career, DJ Eddie Baez, has also had tremendous
success with his own original productions. His
2001 single "Without You" was a ..1 Billboard
Radio & Club smash. Eddie also charted ..2
on Billboard with his remix of Angles How Can I
Lie (02/05 Billboard/Club Play) Eddie Baez's big
break occurred after submitting a mixed tape and
being chosen (out of 2000 candidates) to be the
resident DJ at the grand reopening of legendary
New York City nightclub The Sound Factory. The
crowd response was so overwhelmingly positive that
he was asked to come back as the resident DJ, building
a name and following for himself practically overnight.
Eddie then parlayed this success by landing another
residency at popular NYC nightclub, Tunnel. Eddie
continued to rise in his career, and top the dance
scene, once again, with his new original track, "Useless
Man" which was the first release on his own
record label, Anthem Recordings. With collaboration
from vocalist Aimee Jean (of dance hit Do it Properly),
Eddie Baez made Useless Man just another hit on
his already impressive track record within the
community. Useless Man also appeared on fellow
DJ, Peter Rauhofers, new CD Divas to the Dance
Floor, which garnered much success. Eddie Baez
Vol 1 and Eddie Baez Vol 2, both on Logic/BMG records,
were the first major, nationally released, mixed
CD compilations that Eddie completed. Now the long-awaited
new compilation(s) keep coming and are filled with
fierce vocal anthems, hypnotic house tracks and
thunderous tribal beats. The flawlessly beat-mixed
compilation is definitely not your run of the mill
dance mix. Recorded live in New York City, it is
pure Eddie Baez. Adam Sandler and Eddie Baez also
released an original production entitled Gay Robot
Groove on Warner Bros. Records. Eddies most recent
remixes included Seal Crazy & Crime Mob Stilettos
both on Warner Bros. Records, and Vivian Green,
Tired, on Sony Music. In addition Eddie is continuing
to work with other industry powerhouses, such as
Pepper Mashay, in creating further original collaborations.
Eddie Baez is one to continue to watch and watch
we will. |

JOE
BERMUDEZ // lives in
Boston,
This international DJ and accomplished producer
could be
playing with a bag over his head and he’d
still get what really matters to him — the
ears of thousands of fans in the U.S. and beyond.
Admittedly,
it’s a tad difficult to reconcile his outward
appearance with his energy behind the decks. A devil-may-care
abandon of what is played by most conventional jocks
is matched only by his talent in the studio, a skill
that has attracted clients from Jessica Simpson to
Kelly Clarkson to Jesse McCartney. Throw into the
mix his mantle as a Billboard reporter, his weekly
show
on XM Satellite Radio, and some upcoming high profile
TV, radio and recording gigs, and what you’ve
got is a true professional on par with or surpassing
any on a small list of peers. All that said, it’s
spinning live that gives this 28-year old Bostonian,
who grew up in Maine, the greatest rush and what
has earned Bermudez a solid fan base that turns out
en
masse in every venue and in every city he plays.
Anyone who has had the opportunity to hear Joe spin
knows
that his style is anything but common, that his mixing
and weaving of divergent genres and talents is flawless,
and that his penchant for taking chances is legendary — that’s
evidenced from the roster of clubs and parties for
which he’s been tapped. Avalon in Hollywood,
Blue Ball in Philadelphia, Unity II in Montreal,
Cherry in Washington, D.C., Living Room in Mexico
City and
Blu in Atlanta.

ROLAND
BELMARES // lives in
Los Angeles,
One
fateful night in Austin, 1996, a young man found
himself surrounded by pulsing music, flashing strobe
lights, thousands of people under the spell of
that night’s DJ. He instantly fell in love.
The event was Meltdown, and the kid was Roland
Belmares. He instantly knew he had to figure out
a way to channel this amazing energy. That was
the night Roland Belmares decided to become a DJ.
So began Belmares' humble origins - playing pool
parties and minor venues across Austin, TX slowly
building a name for himself as a DJ who takes his
art just as seriously whether there are twenty
or two thousand people on the dance floor. It was
Belmares' dedicated fine-tuning and attention to
such style that caught the ear of Ben Parsley,
promoter for two of Austin's biggest circuit events,
Perfect Day and, the one that started it all, Meltdown.
The incredible impact Belmares made on audiences
at both Meltdown and Perfect Day secured him a
position on the discerning partygoer's hot list
of circuit DJs. Since that time, Belmares has been
called to play several events across the US from
San Francisco to Miami, and even breaking the international
barriers to play both sides of Canada in Vancouver
and Toronto. Then, of course, there are those major
circuit events like White Party, Winter Party (Miami),
Alegria (New York) and Fireball (Chicago) among
all of which Roland rose to the occasion, delivering
audiences his unique blend of High Energy / Tribal
Vocals. With a growing fan base spanning coast
to coast, it was only a matter of time before Belmares
was called upon to mix CD’s for the industry's
leading dance labels, including Dance One, 4Play
Records, Centaur (Global & Party Groove) and
Harlequin Records. The latter having recently captured
his Tribal, Vocal Energy on a CD entitled “Boy”.
As for what lies ahead for Belmares, it appears
he's dedicated to dance music beyond simply maintaining
his status as one of the scene's top rated DJs
and is putting his name in the ring of Remixer/Producer.
He has recently been expanding his talent as a
remixer working on projects for many of today’s
Dance floor Divas including Pepper Mashay, Pat
Hodges, Kristine W, Abigail, Debby Holiday and
most recently, Amber! Keep your eyes, and ears,
on this rising star. |

MIKE
CRUZ // lives in New
York City,
MIKE
CRUZ PRODUCER/REMIXER/DJ In the elite world of
the DJ, there are maybe a handful of names that
come to mind that one could associate with having
longevity and major success. One name that stands
out in particular is DJ Mike Cruz. For over twelve
years Mike Cruz has been DJing, producing and remixing
works that have garnered him success in the United
States and around the world. He personifies genius;
both in the studio and in front of a live crowd,
interchanging between the two, as he does, with
ease and brilliance. “Music is, and will
always be, my salvation. For me it’s a release.
I really enjoy experimenting with different styles
rather than remaining locked into one particular
genre. I want to stir people up and take them on
a journey and that’s definitely a challenge.
Ultimately, I have to stay true to my vision and
myself. At the end of the day, it’s really
about the mood I’m in and the audience I’m
playing for or trying to reach. My main priority
is making them feel the excitement and energy that
I’m feeling. It’s like a relationship;
we feed off of each other to reach that higher
place.” Indeed. Cruz’s wickedly intoxicating
blend of underground, tribal infused grooves and
rousing vocal anthems has helped solidify his status
as one of the most sought after DJ’s on the
circuit today. Working his magic to sell out crowds
in the US while at the same time gaining rotating
residencies at celebrated hot spots like Chicago’s
Hydrate, Tampa’s Chrome party and Spirit
in New York City, just to name a few, it’s
a wonder that he still maintains his 10 year residency
at Krash in Chelsea, NYC. Thanks to Cruz’s
masterful styling, he continues to cultivate a
large following of dedicated fans that revel in
hearing him spin them into a frenzy, both in the
US and abroad. Cruz seems boundless in his quest
to make his brand of music known to the world.
With his increased profile and growing demand,
the 12-year house music veteran has now taken his
trademark house-fusion sound globally. Cruz has
traveled to spin guest spots in cities like Vancouver,
Rio De Janeiro , Mexico City, Madrid and Ibiza,
Spain, where he can be heard spinning his masterful
brand of tribal beats at Club Space and the circuit
party staple, Anfora Disco. He has also touched
down in Tel Aviv, Israel where he wowed the masses
for FFF/Shirazi and managed to land himself another
residency. Yet with his DJ career in full swing,
Cruz still finds time to churn out massively popular
dance floor hits. Mike has created awe inspiring,
dark and twisted soul soaked remixes for artists
including, Inaya Day, Kristine W., Joi Cardwell,
Georgie Porgie and Anna Visi, just to name a few.
With countless number one and top ten billboard
dance chart hits under his belt, Cruz shows no
signs of fading away. On the contraire, his assault
on the dance music world has only just begun and
shows no signs of slowing down. Currently, Cruz
continues his rigorous DJ schedule maintaining
his residencies around the world as well as a flurry
of dates already confirmed in the U.S and abroad.
Add to that the release of his hugely successful
double disc CD entitled “Arrival” and
one might wonder where he gets the energy for his
non-stop regimen of travel and studio work. Mike
Cruz just loves what he does. “Music is my
life, tribal is my soul”, laughs Mike. “I
became a DJ and began producing and remixing because
I love music and having the opportunity to put
my own personal stamp on it. For me, music is such
a powerful vehicle; it’s one of the most
expressive forms of communication that can truly
unite people. I’m blessed to be a part of
it on many levels.” It’s evident that
whether he is turning out club goers on the dance
floors of his residencies, remixing records for
todays top dance music artists or writing and producing
number one Billboard dance hits, DJ Mike Cruz obviously
loves what he does. He welcomes the challenges
that come with having such a busy career rising
to each occasion proving that he’s here to
stay with no holds barred for a long time to come. |

RICHIE
SANTANA // lives in
New York City,
Richie
Santana is no stranger to music. Having starting
DJing at the age of thirteen, Santana began his
professional career as a mobile disc jockey, working
local house parties, sweet sixteen's and weddings.
Before too long, it was the mirrored balls and
flashing lights of nightclubs that called to the
mixologist and he landed a weekly gig at Staten
Island's Club Morocco. From his club mixing, Santana
became acquainted with Anthony Acid and Brutal
Bill, prominent re-mixers and producers, spending
time in their studio and learning the ropes. Santana's
first remix project was the white label version
of the Eurhythmics' "Sweet Dreams," now
a certified club classic. Following the success
of "Sweet Dreams," remixing opportunities
came pouring in from major labels, and Santana's
unmistakable touch can be heard on Faithless's "God
Is A DJ'" Amber's "One More Night",
Mandy Moore's hit "Candy", Aaliyah's "More
Than A Women", Wild Orchid "Stuttering" for
RCA and Ashley Ballard "Hottie" for Atlantic.
It was Santana's idea to take the acapella version
of Pulse's "The Lover That You Are",
and revolve it into a dance floor anthem for the
millennium, "Lover 2000" found its way
to Jellybean Records, the company behind the first
release of the song, and was re-released by the
label with Santana's mixes catapulting the single

JOHN
RIZZO // lives in New
York City,
A
Bronx, New York, native, John Rizzo has been following
his passion for music and honing his talents for
nearly two decades. John already seems to have
accomplished what other DJ's can only aspire to,
and yet he continues to evolve as an artist. He
has owned and operated his own nightclub, he promotes
his own events, he has had several mix shows on
some of NY's most elite radio stations (KTU, WLIR,
WSIA), and lets not forget his remixing and production
work which has catapulted his career to a higher
plane. As a DJ, no one can question John's versatility;
whether he's creating a night woven with dark and
mysterious beats, or charging up the dance floor
with electrifying vocals backed with hard grooves,
John intuitively works a room with his creative
mixing and programming style, playing music for
the masses. His ties to the record labels in the
industry, such as Star69 and D1 just to name a
few, and most recently joining the elite and much
coveted ranks as a Billboard Dance Reporter, allow
him the advantage to include exclusive promotions,
CD giveaways and special performances by artists
during his DJ sets. To his credit, John has had
the opportunity to DJ in many differnent venues.
In his native hometown: Octagon, Mirage, Metropolis,
Palladium, SBNY, Avalon and abroad at Millennium
in Italy, just to name a few. Fast forward to the
present, John Rizzo is hugely popular in the tristate
area and the surrounding regions with weekly and
monthly residencies that span New Jersey, Connecticut
and New York City. His ability to promote and draw
from all these areas make him an asset to any venue
and/or promoter that works with him. John's great
personality makes it very easy to work with him.
His pleasant demeanor and positive attitude project
loudly through his performances. In spite of it
all, however, it is only one thing that audiences
truly sense when they hear John spin. It's the
one thing that keeps his crowds coming back to
him for more. It's the force that keeps him constantly
moving forward in a world immersed in stillness.
That thing is called the power of music.
John Rizzo currently holds residencies at SBNY
(NYC), Feathers (NJ), Pure (Philadelphia), Escandalo
(NYC), Apex (D.C.), Triangles (CT), Mor (CT), Rise
(Boston). |

TRIPSIN // lives in Orlando
Born
in Orlando, Florida, Trypsin was raised by musically
talented parents, exposing him at an early age to
the rhythmic sounds of Latin music. He quickly grew
a passion for ethnic and exotic melodies from the
Middle East, Africa, the Orient, and various Latin
American countries, and began producing and playing
different local events while still in high school.
Remixing influences included the late Thunderpuss,
Victor Calderone, Hex Hector, and Friburn and Urik,
among many others. Remixes are available for download
on both iTunes and Beatport as of this year, and
his sounds are being played in clubs around the world,
including his residence, the renowned Club at Firestone.
Today, Trypsin has shifted his focus back to production,
recently joining forces with Andy Warren to form
The Virgo Brothers. "It's amazing to see what
hours of work in the studio can do for a dance floor;
those few minutes of uplifting and good-feeling smiles
from an audience in a club continue to fuel the passion
I proudly hold for what I do." |

DJ
SPINN //
In
an industry where DJs and Producers have become more
of a novelty than a commodity, it is refreshing to
encounter a talent that not only encompasses skills
as a master DJ, but an innovator as a producer and
remixer. DJ SPINN is an individual whose ability
to weave tribal beats on the dance floor against
his own original remixes is quickly garnering him
attention in a highly competitive field. Born and
raised in Queens, NY, DJ SPINN knew from a young
age that he was destined for a career in music, when
at age 6 attended a family members wedding reception
and was instantly engrossed by the partys DJ. Not
realizing how that moment would set the course for
his life, he immediately found anything he could
to pursue to his new passion. Greatly supported by
his family, he was given a mixer for his 7th birthday,
by 8 a tape deck and at 12 years old, his first set
off Technics 1200 turntables. At such a young age
he found himself anywhere he could to hone his craft,
from house parties to receptions not unlike the one
he found himself a few short years before. An obsession
with the dance underground, he found solace in New
York radio and became a loyal student of late night
radio shows. Heavily influenced by Freestyle and
House he found inspiration from pioneers Tony Humphries,
Hosh Gurelli, Jeff Romonowski and Hex Hector. After
years of mastering his technique behind the turntables,
he knew it was time to bring his creativity to the
next level. At 17 years old he purchased his first
drum machine and began to conceive his own original
tracks, delving into the art of the remix. His first
remix was Janet Jacksons Again and soon followed
with P.Diddys I Need a Girl and Lumideess Never Leave
You. While continuing his work in the studio, he
continued his DJ gigs at popular nightspots Ohm,
Sound Factory, Tunnel, Club Avex, NV, Planet Millennium,
Dumbartons & Notes. Spinns first major break
came in 2003 when Tito Puente Jr. asked him to remix
Oye Como Va. This track was an enormous success with
radio play on NYCs Latino Mix 105.9 and was featured
on Americas Next Top Model. Recent studio projects
have included My Body Tu Cuerpo (KULT Records) and
Thinking of It by Salme Dahlstrom (David Passick
Entertainment). In addition, the hit tribal anthems
I Just Go & No Matter Where You Are for Recording
Artist Aiden Leslie, and projects for 11th Hour Exile,
and Scottie Gage. Rounding out 2005, DJ Spinn has
recently appeared at the Apocalypse Lounge and begun
a weekly residency at Hollywood & Main Sports
Bar in Queens. Never one to conform to the club or
studio he was the sound engineer for Repos Genetic
Opera at The Wings Theatre in NYC. In October 2005,
Spinn made his radio debut on "Fusion Radio
Chicago" with his own weekly radio show, every
Friday night, fulfilling a life long dream, and now
can also be heard on "Party Radio USA" on
Friday and Saturday night's as well. Often described
as a blend of soulful, progressive house, DJ Spinns
impressive approach to music today, can easily hold
the attention of city dance floors as well as turn
out fresh productions that push the envelope. As
he says in his own words House music is like Rock & Roll
to me. With that said there is no doubt that Spinns
future will grow even brighter. |

DJ
RANNY //lives in Boston
A few years ago
Ranny started playing with music on his computer,
creating his own mash-ups and original mixes and posting
them online. Suddenly, DJs from all over the world
started e-mailing asking for more mixes and his name
started popping up on Top 10 lists all over the world.
He's always been a fan of the greatest: Junior, Hex,
Peter... And every remix he makes he has them in mind.
Those guys were part of a time when "partying" was about
the MUSIC and HAVING FUN. Could we possibly bring it
back?
Ranny has shared the stage with DJs like Tony Moran,
Richie LaDue and Craig Mitchell in the US, Paco
Dominguez in Mexico and Brazilian superstar DJs like
Paulo Agulhari, Paulo Ciotti, Vilson, Kiron and Tato.
He's also remixed artists like The Pussycat Dolls, Gwen
Stefani, Pepper Mashay, Hillary Duff, Timbaland, Nelly
Furtado, Justin Timberlake, Fergie and Ultra Nate, among
others. He's always in studio creating unique remixes
and original productions that are played on many dance
floors everywhere.
His sets, a mix of dirty tribal and electro beats
(always with a little Brazilian touch) can please even
the most demanding audiences.

CHRIS
"THE GREEK" PANAGHI //lives in New
York City
From
the beginning of his career, Chris "The Greek" Panaghi,
has been dedicated to the Dance music community.
Chris' early love of DJ'ing led to his start as a
local New York area DJ, working various nightclubs
and social events. He soon found himself spinning
to packed houses at some of the hottest nightclubs
in New York City and fielding requests to perform
guest DJ spots internationally. Over the years he
received the nickname "The Greek", which
stuck, and he became known in the industry simply
as Chris "The Greek". Chris is known for
his trademark Peak Hour style, which incorporates
such elements as Disco, House, Filtered, Progressive,
and Trance.
In spite of a hectic DJ schedule, "The Greek" still
manages to find the time to write original songs, produce
new artists and remix high profile projects. He first
emerged on the recording scene with a sizzling record
entitled "Boriqua" that created a tremendous
buzz and led to his being in demand to produce remixes
for major artists including MICHAEL JACKSON, GLORIA
ESTEFAN, CELINE DION, JESSICA SIMPSON, AQUA, JON SECADA,
and MARC ANTHONY.
"
I'll never forget the first time I heard my mix on
the radio," says Chris. "It was the greatest
feeling of my life, and that's what drives me to create
more." |

EDDIE
X //Lives in La
Hearing
superstar DJ and producer Eddie X can be a mind-bending
experience — his repertoire is so layered,
his experience so vast, and, at the core, his sets
are so full of energy and passion and always cutting
edge. Whether he’s producing as half of the
production team L.E.X. (Luigi Gonzalez is his co-conspirator)
or spinning a high profile gig, Eddie X always delivers.
His remix of the legendary “Copacabana” was
hand selected by Barry Manilow for the crooner’s
Las Vegas show. There’s nothing Eddie X can’t
do, from performing at such parties as White, Winter,
Purple, globetrotting to spin in cities such as Tel
Aviv, Ibiza, Toronto, Singapore, Rio de Janeiro,
Mexico City, Montreal’s Black and Blue, and
London, also remixing the best of Madonna and Cyndi
Lauper,. Eddie X began his career listening to Larry
Levan at Paradise Garage and Junior Vasquez at Sound
Factory before going on to producing and spinning
the most legendary parties in Los Angeles and Miami
in the ‘90s. Eddie X is now more focused on
live club and party dates, and producing some of
the hottest remixes as L.E.X., than ever before.
The positive critical acclaim confirms his knowledge
as producer with remixes EDDIE X uses his talent
to guide a dance crowd. His style is to educate and
take people on a journey. He believes in reading
the club and work with the energy of the crowd. Seeing
EDDIE X spin live, he treats the booth like a stage
and he’s always performing. For Eddie, spinning
is more than mixing and matching, its high theater.
Eddie X has over fifteen years in the dance industry
and currently remixes and produces. He innovated
underground deep House in Los Angeles in the early ‘90s;
he brought his signature sound to Miami in the mid-’90s
when South Beach maestro Ingrid Casares brought him
on-board at Liquid. He also revolutionized Saturday
after-hours with Pump. Eddie X began his career in
entertainment as a dancer, having studied in New
York City at the Alvin Ailey and Martha Graham Schools,
and auditioning for Broadway shows. He went on to
choreograph and entertain in shows and videos for
such groups as Mantronix, C&C Music Factory,
Jody Watley (“Friends") and Black Box
("Everybody Everybody"). Meanwhile, he
was out at the clubs, soaking up what was shaping
up to be the dawn of the big underground House sound
patent to New York City. From Paradise Garage to
Zanzibar to Sound Factory, Eddie listened intently
to jocks like Junior Vasquez, Frankie Knuckles, Danny
Tenaglia, Tee Scott and David Cole. When he moved
to Los Angeles, he did so to pursue choreography.
With DJ Eric Puyu and partner Manny Rodriguez, he
opened Spice Club in the heart of Hollywood and named
the night “Temple.” It was one of the
only spots in L.A. where people could party all night,
and, within weeks, people were lined a mile-deep
at the door. Temple started with 200 guests and soon
began to grow. It was a little mystery club, and
by week eight Eddie X had 3,000 people coming through
the door on a Saturday night. During this time, he
was about to break out on his own as a DJ and take
his show on the road. Before long, ‘Temple” was
moving from location to location in Los Angeles,
with Eddie notifying a mailing list of thousands
about enormous parties, whether a launch for ‘The
Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert” or “Men’s
Skirt Party.” Eddie had another residency, “Pump,” at
the El Rey Theatre. As the L.A. scene slowed and
Miami became the hub of glamour and nightlife in
the mid ‘90s, Eddie sprang into action. He
had been summoned in 1996 to spin a night at the
legendary Warsaw Ballroom in South Beach. Eddie X
became resident DJ at LIQUID nightclub. The hottest
dance club on South Beach anyone who knows anything
about nightlife is well aware that Liquid was the
apex of entertainment … Madonna, Sylvester
Stallone and every celebrity in town that week were
regulars inside the hot spot while as many as 500
people would wait outside to get into the club. Eddie
enthuses: "This was the time when Miami was
the bomb.” He also gave life to Miami after
hours with “Pump.” After five years,
it became the longest running club at that time in
South Beach. By 2003 when “Pump” closed,
Eddie had established himself as an international
sensation and a master remixer. By then L.E.X. had
been born and his client list ranges from newcomers
to legends such as Barbara Streisand and Donna Summer.
In addition to doing work for Madonna and Barry Manilow,
Eddie has put his spin on include Cyndi Lauper’s "Walk
On By,” Anastacia’s "Left Outside
Alone" and Mis-Teeq’s "One Night
Stand." And, when he’s not in the studio,
he simply can no longer be tied down: you’ll
find him doing his handiwork at the decks at clubs
and parties all over the world. |

DJ
ROXX //lives in Miami
In
the year 2001, sensing a timely opportunity from
which his music could grow and mature, DJ Roxx settled
in South Florida, a place he calls home. In this
richly-diversified community, his music did indeed
mature and fomented into what it is todaythe vibrant
blend of bass and acoustics which first blasted at
friends parties to the major commercial enterprise
it is today, spell-binding. There are changing times
on the dance scene, and DJ Roxx is well aware this.
Unlike many other DJs that have seemed to settle
into a category or genre of music, DJ Roxxs secret
to success has rested in his ability to diversify
his choice of music as much as possible, including
the audience he plays for. As he has often repeated
in various magazine and newspaper interviews, the
dance floor for him always becomes an experiment
of sorts, one on which he takes his music to the
next step often without even his realization. This,
he says, is often done subtly, often not that subtly.
When pressed for an answer, he admits that he can
do this by his ability to mix simultaneously on more
than two decks, as most DJs do. It isnt long before
even a simple vocal turns into a high-spirited, melodious,
richly rewarding dance musical experiences anyone
can have. And this seems to be DJ Roxxs own secret
to success and personal ethoshis dance music speaks
to different simply because, without one knowing
it, when least expected, it can splinter off into
many genres, sub-genres, and untold number of sounds. |

DIO
ZAMBRANO
He
was born in Barquisimeto, Venezuela in 1974. At age
12 he started to play records on the Pioneer turntable
his family had at home. Soon after that he played
at parties around the city. From there his influences
from Groove and Electro. Dio belongs to the line
up of venezuelan professional DJs, as long as Musical
Producers for the Progressive Tribal genre with an
influence of latin rythms and the groove of the 80s,
without letting aside the variations of the evolution
of house music of the present days. As a producer,
Dio Zambrano has worked on many remixes for his own
use as long as unreleases tracks that have been enjoyed
by audiences around the world on the internet, all
of them with his signature style, all of them with
the imprint of Tribal, Progressive, Groove. Funk
and the inspiration he feels at the moment of mixing
the tracks. As a DJ, he has performed all around
his country, and is starting to do so in other countries
as well, where audiences dance to his contagious
beat. Trying to describe his live sessions is not
easy, since he doesnt follow a predetermined rythm
or lineal style. Dios sessions are the result of
the energy he obtains from the public on the dance
floor. He says: It is the DJs task to put dancers
on the move, but people communicates you indirectly
what they want to listen, so you can play it. I play
the music I like and distinguishes me, but I always
have in my mind to make people dance, so my audience
always moves on the dance floor to my beat. When
listened live, Dio mixes sounds and rythms from Funk,
Electro, Latin Drums, Vocals, all of them fussioned
with Progressive Tribal, in such a way that the bass
line doesnt remain untouched, but fussioned, so people
keep moving on the dance floor. Currently, Dio Zambrano
is producing in association with outstanding Latin
American DJs. |
